About Old Corner
Old Corner Stables is the name of the Van der Veen-family business. The farm has two locations, the Dutch location is in Groningen, the northern part of the Netherlands. The new location, under the name of Old Corner Int, LLC is established in the U.S., in North Carolina. Both locations have horses for sale. The new location in N.C. has been expanded to include a riding arena, so that we now can provide training in the U.S.
We have a number of antique sleighs for sale, together with bridles, harnesses,and other accessories. They can be viewed in our Carriage Shop soon. One baroque sjees is under construction and will be ready early 2009.
Ria van der Veen, who is the President of Old Corner Stables and Old Corner Int, LLC, is assisted by her husband Wiebe and daughter Joca. Joca has been living in the U.S. for several years now, and has competed in dressage and showjumping, amongst others in international shows (dressage). She has graduated from the veterinary college of Utrecht University in the Netherlands, and is working as a veterinarian in North Carolina.
The Van der Veen family arranges import and sales of the best quality of Dutch Warmbloods and Friesian horses for buyers all over the world.
From our N.C. stables a selection of young horses is offered for sale every year. Besides, several horses from the Netherlands are imported every year, some of which will their training at our farm.
We have bred horses that are successfully competing all over the world. We sell youngsters and greenbroke horses, as well as experienced show horses. Amongst our successful sales horses are World Championship competitors. Please, let us know what you are looking for, and if we don't have what you need, we can help you find the horse that suits you.
We only breed mares who have been shown and have proven to meet our high standards. We can insure your horse for you here in the Netherlands and during transport (door to door).

We can also insure the horse you buy, both before and during transport, until delivery at your doorstep.
Insurance will cover:
- mortality
- external loss of use
- transport
Insurance After Delivery
We can arrange for your horse to be insured, immediately after arrival at your place, with an excellent US company.
