Hiske-Klaske fan ‘e Olde Hoek, Ster

Hiske-Klaske fan ‘e Olde Hoek, Ster, (Feitse Pref x Jakob) is owned by Old Corner Stables and ridden by Joca van der Veen, DVM. She was born in the Netherlands,  and is now, at age 7, performing under saddle at 1st level.

Hiske received the Ster predicate at the age of 3. She made her debut at dressage shows in October, 2007, and finished with a 1st place. Joca and Hiske scored 66% and took a blue ribbon home.

The judge came over after the show to say that she thought Hiske was such a fabulous horse and could go very far in dressage.

Joca also showed Hiske’s dam and granddam in dressage, both in the Netherlands. Hiske's dam, Klaske fan ‘e Olde Hoek (Ster, Sport, by Jakob) was shown upper levels in the Netherlands and has continued training to PSG in the USA. Granddam Ursel fan ‘e Boskranne (Ster, by Doeke) was shown very successfully in dressage as well, at one time beating 300+ warmbloods in dressage.

Hiske's first foal, Tesse.

Hiske-Klaske was bred by Old Corner Stables and imported from the Netherlands in 2006 while she was in foal to Jasper. Her Jasper colt, Tesse, is now in South Carolina. This talented colt stems from top performance lines, with generations of talented horses with superb dispositions.

Hiske is currently in foal to Wander for a 2009 foal and will continue her dressage training at her home in North Carolina. She is a fantastic mare, very sweet and very talented. She is out of stam 19, an old line known for its talent and willingness to work.
